About this property

Welcome to Anat Tantric Boutique Hotel

Set on the Carretera Federal Chetumal just outside the bustling center of Tulum, Anat Tantric Boutique Hotel offers a quiet retreat with a modern, minimalistic style. The property features clean, spacious rooms that some guests find particularly comfortable and romantic, complete with amenities like private pools and copper bathtubs. The free Wi-Fi and air conditioning enhance convenience, while the hotel’s limited dining options cover breakfast through dinner with room service available. Although the "boutique" label has received mixed opinions, the overall atmosphere tends to appeal to couples looking for a peaceful escape close to nature.

The hotel’s outdoor pool is visually appealing and well-maintained, though some visitors have noted it can be quite cold depending on the season. Pet-friendly accommodations and free parking add to practical conveniences, along with an airport shuttle service for easier arrivals and departures. While there is no fitness center on site, the proximity to several notable natural attractions—such as the Tulum ruins, Gran Cenote, and Cenote Calavera—provides ample opportunities for sightseeing and outdoor activities.

Guests generally highlight the attentive and accommodating staff, with mentions of helpful concierge services and prompt problem-solving, such as arranging transportation or equipment rentals. However, some reviews point out minor maintenance issues and note that having a car is advisable due to the somewhat secluded location. This setting offers a balance between tranquility and access, as the town center and nearby cenotes are within a short drive.

With a rating of 4.7 from 89 reviews, Anat Tantric Boutique Hotel is often recommended for those prioritizing comfort and peaceful surroundings over a bustling hotel scene. It suits visitors looking to explore Tulum’s natural and cultural sites while returning to a calm, stylish base that feels more private and intimate than larger resorts.

We loved everything about this place from the moment we arrived until the day we left. Stephanie and Dani were incredibly helpful, always accommodating any request with ease. The hotel offers room service for breakfast, as well as all-day lunch and dinner. While the menu isn’t extensive, it’s more than sufficient when you’re hungry. Our room was clean, minimalistic, and perfectly suited for a comfortable stay. The pool speaks for itself—simply amazing. We rented an ATV through Dani, and they conveniently delivered it to the hotel. When we encountered an issue shortly after, they promptly replaced it with another one. The service was excellent in every way. We highly recommend this place!

Beautiful Rooms & Great Sleep — but Location + Practical Issues to Consider We stayed here for a few nights near Tulum and the room itself was absolutely stunning. The bed was extremely comfortable, everything felt modern and clean, and aesthetically the hotel really delivers. A few things to note: • The pool is beautiful but very cold. We visited in November and it was too cold to enjoy, so while it looks amazing in photos, we never actually swam. • Limited hotel grounds. Outside of the room and pool, there isn’t much common area to explore. The upside is that it’s right beside a cenote, which you can pay to access. • Location is tricky. It’s about a 10-minute drive from downtown Tulum. Normally that wouldn’t bother me, but taxis here charge extremely high prices, so transportation really adds up. We ended up renting an ATV in town (much cheaper than the hotel’s price), but keep in mind: – If you drive yourself, you absolutely cannot have any drinks because there are police checkpoints. – If you come home late, you’ll likely have to rely on taxis, which I personally don’t find very safe in Mexico. If you do take one, do not pay with your credit card. • Water situation could be better. There’s room service, but we didn’t use it. I do really wish there was free drinking water stocked in the room. When I went to the kitchen and asked, they did offer complimentary water - but it would be great if there was already a jug in the room. Overall, I’d give this hotel four stars. The rooms are gorgeous and the sleep quality is amazing, but the location, transportation costs, and small practical inconveniences make it less convenient than expected.

First and foremost, I’d really like to express my sincere thanks to Mr. Yair. He was incredibly kind, professional, and respectful — his attention truly made a difference during our stay. The room was spacious and consistently spotless. We never had any issues with cleanliness at all. I visited in April 2025 and, yes, there were a few mosquitoes, but nothing that disrupted our sleep or overall experience. On the contrary — the bed was extremely comfortable, and the bath towels were of excellent quality. Having a private pool and a small lounge area added a level of comfort that’s hard to beat. That said, I personally found the term “boutique” a little overstated. The shower could use some improvement, and the unit we stayed in was beginning to show minor signs of wear. The main entrance door of the hotel was also not functioning properly at the time. Still, I would definitely consider returning. The room was very comfortable, and I found the overall value for the price we paid to be excellent. I’d recommend having a car, as the location is a bit tucked away.

This hotel is absolutely perfect for couples, their rooms are breathtaking. The mattress is the most comfortable mattress I’ve ever slept in a hotel in a very long time. It’s really romantic. It’s beautiful and it is very close to a couple of Cenotes including a Cenote club. Their staff was very helpful though our interaction was minimal because you just have a receptionist, I wish someone would’ve showed us the area to have breakfast, even though we only stayed there three nights .

We cannot say enough about this incredible hotel. I have recommended it to everyone I know and this place made our beautiful vacation to Tulum even better. The prices are unbelievable ($114/night), to include your own pool and beautiful copper deep bathtub. I recently read somewhere that hotel prices in Tulum have sky rocketed, making Tulum not as accessible as it used to be but they are looking in the wrong places! This being said, this location is not in a touristy area of Tulum-it is situated next to the jungle outside of the town of Tulum by about 10 minutes. This was perfect for my boyfriend and me because we didn't want to be in a touristy area and preferred the peace and quiet of the jungle. Town was easy to get to by either taxi, quad, or Vespa. Stephanie, the hotel's wonderful concierge, was able to arrange transportation for us, along with recommendations for things to do and even booked a restaurant reservation for us. The hotel itself is picturesque and offers a limited amount of rooms so it really feels like you have the place to yourselves. We loved the pool and would dive in every night after a day of exploring in the humid Tulum heat. We started off by taking taxis for the first few days we were there but then decided that renting a quad or Vespa was much more cost effective (and fun!) We are planning on staying here again when we visit Tulum next. Thank you, Stephanie, for helping to make our stay so enjoyable!

We ended up cancelling other hotels and extending our stay *twice* here. Lovely little oasis just outside of Tulum with the best service, great food and easily commutable to wherever you want to get to. Own car recommended though as taxis in Tulum can get a bit pricy. The hotel can help here though. (Also, the shower is free standing in the middle of the room, so more of a couples room than a friend group)

This hidden gem sits right on the outskirts of Tulum. The rooms were exactly as described and pictured. Everything was phenomenal- including the pool and the beautiful copper bathtub. The bed and pillows were so comfortable- we wish we would have stayed a few days longer.
